My SIL just raved about a leave-in conditioner that calms the curls (no aussie crunch crap here) and it can keep a blow-out in place. It's Mixed Chicks Leave-in Conditioner.Mixed Chicks was created to help multi-cultural or bi-racial chicks tame their locks--but plenty of WASPy, pale white chicks have curly hair issues, too (been to an Irish Dance show lately?). In making that point, there's a Mixed Chicks t-shirt that says, "Tired of defining your race instead of your curls?" Amen.
Here's what my SIL said about it, as her words say it best--and, no, no one paid her...
"after decades of searching I finally found a no frizz product that really works for my curly hair from mixedchicks.net - it's a creamy balm that you put on while your hair is wet and it gives you defined but soft (not crunchy) curls when your hair dries. Also helps hold a blow dry when I am near the coast in LA. I ordered it online after seeing it featured in a mag..."
I'd post a pic of my SIL, but she'd probably kill me. Take my word for it though, she's beautiful and her hair always looks great. This is one to try...
I'm following you from MBC. This looks like a great product, but I don't have curly hair. :-)
ReplyDeleteFollowing from MBC, I would love if you followed me as well thanks.
ReplyDeleteWell I have curly hair, so I must check this out!
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower from the Follow Me Club.
I *have* to try this! Thanks for the tip! I have not found anything that can tame my frizz! Following you now from MBC.
ReplyDeleteThanks Aim! My hair is more wavy than curly, and my SIL uses it more for blow-outs--so maybe that's an option...! Thanks for following!
ReplyDeleteHey Mama--thanks! and will do...I'm behind there and each day I feel like I'm falling further and further into quicksand! LOL! But I promise I'll get there...!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tammy! Let me know if you do try it--would love to hear what you think. Thanks for following!
ReplyDeleteHi Momma Snail! Thanks for following--I've tried several de-frizzers, straighteners, smoothers, etc--and one of the best I had was actually a "relaxer"--but I can't find it for sale anymore. This seems like one to try--let me know what you think if you do try it!
ReplyDeleteMy sister is mixed and is always trying new products. Do they sell this in Canada?
ReplyDeleteHi Candice!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment--yes, there are some salons in Canada that sell Mixed Chicks; you can see the list of salons here: http://www.mixedchicks.net/internationalcurlyhairsalons.html
Plus, it's available thru their website...
Hope this helps!
